CSFT, founded in 1997 by Mr. Apollinaire AHANHANZO, specializes in the post-harvest enhancement of tropical fruits and vegetables using drying and pasteurization technology. It produces dried fruits and pure fruit juices, which it sells on various markets.
When the founder passed away in 2019, his son Mr. Frédéric Malon AHANHANZO, a food technologist and expert in juices and fruit drinks, took over the reins, ensuring the operation and development of the business.
In 2022, he decided to add a new product to the range of products already produced and sold by the CSFT tropical fruit and vegetable processing company: a pineapple-based beer and pineapple liqueur. He now intends to build a 300m2 production unit for this specific activity, 35 minutes from his current premises.
The product ranges currently marketed to customers are derived from ecological, organic and sustainable agriculture, with an emphasis on fair trade.
Transforming more, and exporting has never made so much sense.
The philosophy behind our business:
Pineapples, mangoes, papayas and guavas abound in Benin, but are spoiled by lack of consumption.
CSFT’s main activity is processing fresh fruit into dried fruit and pineapple juice. Different fruits are used for drying.
The CSFT’s long-term objectives are clear and consistently pursued:
- Create income-generating activities;
- Create experimental jobs for returning migrants;
- Seek support funds to grant microcredits to farmers and artisans, especially women;
- Contribute to the fight against poverty and destitution by raising awareness and training women’s groups.
